Robert “Bob” J.  Barron, 84 of Temperance, MI,  died Saturday, June 28, 2014 at Ebeid Hospice Residence.  Born October 20, 1929 in Erie, MI, he was the son of Eloy and Loretta (Dussia) Barron.  A US Air Force veteran of the Korean War, he married Patricia Moldovan on May 1, 1954 in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Monroe, MI.  Bob was employed by GM Powertrain for 19 years, retiring in 1995.  He was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Temperance, MI and the U.A.W., Local 14 in Toledo.  Bob enjoyed gardening, bowling, golfing, fishing, but most of all, watching his grandchildren playing sports. He loved all animals and wanted to keep them all!  He was the ultimate family man, a big brother, wonderful husband, father and grandfather “Pippi”.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Patricia. Children, Jeffery (Connie) Barron and Jennifer (Greg) Harpel.  Grandchildren, Ashleigh (Dan) Ovall, Kelsie Barron, Bradlee Barron and Morgan Harpel. Great grandson, Zachary Ovall.  Brothers, Gene (Dorothy) Barron, Darrell (Rose) Barron and Ron (Bonnie) Barron. Sister, Darlene Duvall.  Bob was preceded in death by his parents, infant sister, brother, Larry Barron and brother-in-law, Jack Duvall.

Visitation will be from 4-7 pm, Tuesday, July 1, 2014 in the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI, where funeral services will follow at 7:00 pm.  Deacon Martin Selmek, officiating.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Promedica Hospice or St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital.  www.pawlakfuneralhome.com
